New to rowing and sculling?

Rowing is a great sport to learn, and it’s easier to get started than you probably think. We train outdoors on a beautiful river, it’s great for improving fitness – and it’s fun.

Once you get in touch, we’ll arrange a time for you to be shown around the club and a date get started with your initial training. The intake programme is usually done in your age groups, either Junior or Adult.

There’s no need to wait until the summer to start rowing. We train all year round, and weather permitting we can get on the river in the winter months also.

Squad Training

Once you have graduated from the “Learn to Row” into your group the sessions will be allocated. They usually run weekend mornings and weekday evenings.

To give you some idea, Juniors will train 3-5 sessions per week and adults in racing groups 5-7 times per week
