Rupert Apps – N&URC Alumni – Wins Head of the Trent Pennant

We were delighted to see Rupert Apps, having only just turned 19, and a graduate from

Nottingham & Union RCs Junior program, return to Nottingham on Saturday to compete in a

highly competitive field at Head of the Trent as the bowman of ‘Leander A’ who set the

fastest time of the day in Division 1 of the Head of the Trent.

This year the field was highly competitive, with Leander A completing the 5,600m course

in 15 minutes 32.4 seconds, some 14.9 seconds ahead of Leander B, closely followed by

Royal Chester in third place.
