Recent Racing from N&URC May/June 2017
Recent Racing saw every regatta we attended with strong winds affecting the events! Notts City, National Schools, Metropolitan and Peterborough Spring saw good performances from all of our crews
Notable were the WJ14 A & B quads at National Schools with 5th overall and a silver medal in the B event. Both crews against top National opponents as you would expect at this regatta
A strong single sculls victory in WJ16 at Notts City for Megan Thomas
Special mention for Novice men at Peterborough coming 3rd in the final and staying in the pack for most of the race and Lucy Patchett who won WJ15 single sculls. In winning the event Lucy soundly beat the Rob Roy sculler who had recently won WJ15 championship singles at the National Sculling Regatta on Dorney Lake.
The Women’s T3 8 at Metropolitan came 4th in the final also against some good opposition and will hope to keep this momentum going to WHR
The “wins update” will show the detail
